Who we are

The Flourishing Soul Initiative is a Christ-centered 501(c)3 ministry dedicated to seeing women impacted by abuse safely cared for and supported within the Christian community. Physical abuse is only 1 of 7 forms of abuse. Today, 1 in 3 women experience abuse within their home and sadly, Christian homes are not excluded from these statistics.

We saw a need for churches to be equipped with trauma and abuse-informed tools in order to walk alongside these individuals. God's heart breaks for the oppressed.

Our care groups are designed for women navigating abuse at various stages. This Christ-centered and trauma informed guide is designed to run on a 6 week cycle. Workbooks are focused on clarity, safety, healing, and hope.

This option is for ministries who are not yet ready to implement the full program but have a desire to provide support to victims.

Equipping and Training

Abuse by nature is hidden and covert. Being able to recognize the signs is crucial. Additionally, this trauma-informed training allows your team to handle each situation with godly wisdom and compassion. This portion is essential to the safety of the victim which is the first priority.

Safety and Healing

Once safety is in place, the individual needs to begin the journey of healing from the trauma that has likely gone on for years. This portion of the program gives the blueprint to begin the necessary recovery process of reclaiming their God-given worth, regaining clarity, and walking in truth.

Restoration

Repentance from the abuser is always the hope but sadly, it is not common-.1% to be exact. We believe God can encounter anyone but ultimately, the abuser must choose change through long-term transformation without any obligation or pressure misplaced on the victim. We provide guidance to help you discern if true repentance is present and how to walk out the long-term process.
